PT, the Basset Hound, is a Therapy Dog in California. PT visits the children's library on a monthly basis to participate in the volunteer program B.A.R.K. which stand for Beach Animals Reading with Kids. Some children find it difficult to read in class or to other people but they feel quite comfortable reading to a calming canine. Some educators find that the B.A.R.K. program helps children have greater confidence in their reading skills and improves their testing scores.
PT is an American Kennel Club Conformation Champion, an Agility Champion and a certified Therapy Dog. PT was raised here in Texas |
